Ms. Sharma and her advisor, Dr. Harries, in collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur won the Silver Award in the 2009 Mondialogo Engineering Award for their project, Promotion of Bamboo as a Cost Effective and Sustainable Structural Material.
