Trainee Kenneth Faires (Lumbee Tribe) founded a student buisness team (Triangle Energy) based on his bioenergy research. Triangle Energy competed in and won second place in the regional Environmental Innovation Challenge contest run by the UW Foster School of Business (including a $5000 prize). see http://dailyuw.com/2010/4/2/innovative-energy/
