Achievement

IGERT trainees formed the core of the organizational committee for an international workshop with our partners at the National Institute for Materials Science in Tsukuba, Japan. Trainees invited both local and outside speakers, gave short talks on their research, both ran and participated in the poster session, and hosted the outside invited speakers for meals. They received essential training in these critical aspects of scientific communication and interactions.
