Trainee chairs UOWGS group

Due to Trainee Sarah Brady's (D. Tyler, UO Chemistry) research support through the IGERT fellowship, she was able to take the time to be more involved in University of Oregon Women in Graduate Sciences (UOWGS) group. Brady served as the seminar chair for the past year. She organized five seminars, including a MIT physicist and a NASA scientist, two workshops, and one program which the group presented to the general public. Brady also organized a fundraiser at a local pub that has been UOWGS' most successful fundraiser to date. UOWGS helps connect women throughout science disciplines and help them to develop the skills they need to build a successful career.
