Achievement

Trainee Lucas Arzola demonstrated the rapid, high level production of a recombinant protein for treatment in the event of anthrax exposure using tobacco as a host. He reported these research achievements at several conferences including the UC Davis Interdisciplinary Graduate and Professional Symposium where he won the Engineering Dean's award, the San Francisco/Bay Area International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering Student Poster Competition where he won first place as well as the IGERT Poster Competition where he was selected as a finalist.
