IGERT student wins dissertation prize

IGERT student associate Katherine Levine Einstein has won the Harvard University Senator Charles Sumner prize for best dissertation “from the legal, political, historical, economic, social, or ethnic approach, dealing with any means or measures tending toward the prevention of war and the establishment of universal peace.” Einstein earned her Ph.D. in 2012 from the IGERT Ph.D. Program in Government & Social Policy. Her dissertation was titled, Divided Regions: Race, Political Segregation, and the Fragmentation of American Metropolitan Policy.”
