University program incorporates IGERT model

The URI College of the Environment and Life Sciences is currently undergoing a significant reorganization of graduate and undergraduate programs. Faculty in the college have established the CIIP as a model pedagogy for graduate student training. The aspects of CIIP that are most attractive to the College are the multidisciplinary basis of our training, the creation and maintenance of an esprit de corps among cohorts of our trainees, and our training in communication and leadership. The CIIP is having a transformational impact on multidisciplinary graduate education at URI.
